On April 2nd, Tekie Geek, along with local businesses and the GRACE Foundation, helped cover a van in 12,000 autism awareness ribbons—all in just a few hours! Here’s how we worked together to make this event a huge success and break a world record.
At Tekie Geek, we believe in using our powers for good—not just in cybersecurity, but in supporting causes that truly make a difference. And on World Autism Awareness Day, we had the honor of doing just that.
We teamed up with our longtime friends and partners at the GRACE Foundation of New York for an unforgettable event: an attempt to break a Guinness World Record by covering a van with 12,000 autism awareness ribbons—all in the name of spreading awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals of all abilities.
Mission Accomplished! 🙌
The energy was electric! Families, friends, schools, businesses, and supporters from across Staten Island came together, each playing a part in making this historic moment happen—one ribbon at a time.
A special shoutout goes to the incredible GRACE participants, who led the way with enthusiasm, dedication, and heart. They organized materials, placed ribbons with precision, and showed us all the true meaning of teamwork.
But this event wasn’t just about breaking records… it was about showing up for a community that continues to inspire us every single day.
